Living tradition with alpine farming in the high moor and then diving into crystal-clear mountain lakes.
Tour description:
Alpine magic and lake paradise, this is how the tour over the Röthelmoosalmen can be summarized. Up to the wide, open alpine pasture, the forest road climbs a little steeper for a moment, but the exertion is immediately forgotten when you see the picture-book landscape that spreads out in front of you in the last few meters. The old Röthelmoos-Klause tells of the time of the wood-trift, the Langerbauer- and Dandl Alm invite you to homemade delicacies and the cow bells set the pace. After the stop, it goes through the narrow Wappbachtal along the crystal-clear mountain stream down to the Three Lakes area. A jump into the refreshing water is a must!
A bathing stop in the Weitsee, Mittersee or Lödensee is a must! Don't forget your bathing suit and towel.
The woodcutters' museum (Laubau) offers fascinating insights into the life of hardship and the dangerous work of the woodcutters (lumberjacks, foresters) in the former saline region of Traunstein. On the large outdoor area, you will feel like you have been transported back to a bygone era in the lovingly prepared wooden rooms, the original workshops and through interactive stations: www.holzknechtmuseum.com
