Brander Alm

The Brander Alm at 1,135 m is located in an idyllic valley basin directly below the striking Hörndlwand. The massive wooden planks of the hut have been stained dark by wind and weather over the centuries and all around mainly young cattle enjoy the juicy and nutritious grass of the high pasture in the summer months. Not only the legendary Kaiserschmarrn, but also the homemade soft cheese and quark attract many hikers to a well-deserved stop at the Brander Alm after their summit ascent before heading back down into the valley.
