Summer in the mountains belongs to the cows, especially young cows in the region of Chiemgau. However, for us humans there is something that is almost more beautiful than watching happy cows on large alpine pasture: the farmed mountain huts! Whether it's a cold beer after many metres in altitude on foot or by bike, the obligatory ‘Kaiserschmarrn’ or a savoury snack as the highlight (or lure for children) of a successful tour. In Ruhpolding and the surrounding area there is such a wide range of mountain huts that everyone is sure to find their favourite!

The most beautiful hikes in Ruhpolding Summit bliss for everyone

Take the cable car a little further towards the summit or head straight up from the valley - both options are possible in Ruhpolding and each variant always offers a gigantic view over the Chiemgau Alps and towards the main Alpine ridge. Here you don't have to struggle over several 1,000 metres in altitude to enjoy a beautiful view, although you do have the option of undertaking challenging tours. Simply the right tour for everyone!
